Today you turn eighteen. Today you change from a teen to a young adult. You can drink in Alberta, Manitoba, and Quebec (But those places are cold so why would you go there, and alcohol is gross so you don’t really need to worry about this). This is your final year of high school. I gotta say, I’m pretty proud of you for getting this far. Remember that one day in kindergarten? When you sat on the reading rug and thought to yourself “Well look at me, I’m already in kindergarten! I’ve gotten pretty far in life”. Do you remember how amazing it always was to grow taller? Or how excited you were for middle school? Then for high school? And how you played L’italiana in Algeri in eight grade with symphony and that was the scariest thing you ever did? Is everyone still there at school? Like Kallie and Jihoo and Hailey and Wolfie and all of your friends? Did you write the story? I hope hope hope you did! That would be amazing, even if it never got published, I would be very proud of you. I hope you kept playing oboe, and kept drawing, and want to study sustainability. And now here we are, where ever you are. You are almost an adult now and that’s kinda scary. I wish I was a little kid now, so I hope you are happy to grow up (But it is perfectly ok with me if you still play with dolls). Well whatever had happened to you I hope you know I am here with you always and you can always just look back and know that things always go better then expected and it always will get better so have no fear. Well I need to do something now I’m sure, and you likely do to. So Best of luck to you, and I hope that you can live without fear and can enjoy life.
